When I Pass


My life on earth is short,
I know that is true,
And the worst part of dieing,
Is my leaving you.

I hope my time with you,
Has been happy and fun,
And memories of me,
Will be your number one.

Don't dwell on my passing,
Don't be bitter or sore,
I'll be waiting for you,
On that far Jordan shore.

When your turn comes,
And you know that's our fate,
We will stroll hand in hand,
Through heavens gate.

        Van Dwellers Prayer

Can I live in my van in heaven,
When from this world I pass,
Can I travel the heavenly highways,
And never run low on gas.

Can I see the majestic places,
That I've never been able to see,
Can I roam the clouds forever
As an angel, can I live free.

My van is my temple of glory,
A place to clear my mind
To give thanks for all of my blessings,
That someday I'll leave behind

But when my soul shall leave my body,
And my work on earth is o'er
Can the spirit of my van go with me,
As I travel to heaven's door.

My Self Driving Truck

My self driving truck.

I bought a self driving truck,
Because it was the latest fad,
It cost a lot of money,
A little more than I had,
So I went to my banker for a loan,                     (1st verse)
And this is what he said.
A self driving truck will leave you ,
If you treat it bad.

I got my truck and went for a ride,
Along a country road,
Playing country music,
I was feeling really bold,                                         (2nd verse)
Then I saw that farmers daughter,
Laying in the sun
I pulled right over and I got out
So we could have a some fun.

We went behind her old farm truck,
And I took her in my arms,
I gave her a couple smooches,
Then I really turned on my charms,
I heard a noise that sounded like my truck.            (3rd verse)
So I ran around to see,
I saw the taillights of my truck
As it was leaving me.

My self driving truck just left me,
Now I am lonely and blue,
It was the truck of my dreams,
It got mad because I saw you,
My self driving truck just left me,                               (Course)
Taking all my brew,
My self driving truck just left me,
And I don't know what to do.

Now if you get a self driving truck,
You better treat her nice,
Don't go messing with no one else,
Or you'll pay the price,
A self driving truck has feelings,
And that is set in stone,
But if you fool with another,
You'll have to walk all the way home.

My self driving truck just left me

That was a good old truck, it never left me
Oh what have I done, I want my new truck back, maybe it went back to the truck lot, I'll walk down there, I promise I want even look at another truck.

Van Life

Back in my younger days
I had a van to drive
I built in a bed and shag carpet
As I drove I felt so alive.

I'm much older now
But inside the kid is still there
I got me another van
I'll drive it everywhere

A few things I've learned
After my first fun trip.
It still hurts to bang you head
And setting on your feet hurts the hip.

When night time falls
The moon and the stars are bright
You stretch out on the bed
And your mind gets right.

So don't condemn this style
I'm living without strife
I'm free to move around,
I'm living the VAN LIFE.
